Anatomica

We turned the human body into something you can hold, peel apart, and listen to.

A real-time, browser-based 3D anatomy explorer. Four systems, custom shaders, and a calm human voice narrating every part. Built to make the body feel like a thing of awe, not a beige diagram.

The brain rotating in the dark void, cortical folds catching rim light, neural signals tracing along white-matter tracts.

Anatomy software has always been clinical, dense, and intimidating. Anatomica treats the body the way a planetarium treats the cosmos. Dark void, volumetric glow, deliberate camera pacing.

The Depth Peeler in action: a four-layer slider stripping the brain from cortex to brainstem.

Brain, eye, cell, and DNA, each rendered with custom GLSL shaders and tied together by one shared data model. A single search box spans all four universes. Type mitochondria and the camera flies you there.

The glassmorphic knowledge panel open beside a glowing region, showing Latin name, function, and a full-width Listen button.

Every region is narrated by a high-fidelity voice, requested on demand and cached. Robotic text-to-speech would have undermined the whole feeling. A calm human voice makes the brainstem sound like it deserves to.

Anatomica running on a large display in a university classroom or museum installation.
Cellular interior: organelles drifting through the cytoplasm, mitochondria pulsing with energy.
